Thread Lifts Brisbane
A thread lift in Brisbane uses dissolvable barbed threads inserted into targeted areas to gently lift and reposition the skin to improve facial laxity along the jawline and lower face. They also stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping improve skin firmness and texture even after the threads dissolve.
Thread Lifts
Brisbane
A thread lift in Brisbane is a non-surgical skin lifting treatment that uses dissolvable barbed threads to gently lift and support sagging areas of the face or body. By repositioning the skin and underlying tissues, thread lifting can improve facial contours while enhancing skin volume, texture, and overall quality. The threads also stimulate natural collagen and elastin production, helping to maintain firmer, smoother skin even after they dissolve. This treatment is ideal for people aged 35–55 with good skin tone and mild to moderate skin laxity who want natural-looking rejuvenation with minimal downtime.
Everything You Need to Know About
Thread Lifts in Brisbane
With a thread lift procedure there are several factors that must be considered, including your reasons for the procedure, the current condition of the skin and the amount of facial laxirt, and your aesthetic goals. The approach to the procedure will be tailored to your individual needs and the natural anatomy of your face. This ensures that the procedure aligns with your desired outcomes and addresses any specific concerns you may have.
-
Thread lifting is a minimally invasive treatment performed in clinic under local anaesthetic and typically takes between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. During the procedure, one or more dissolvable threads are carefully inserted using a fine, blunt-tipped cannula, which is removed once the threads are correctly positioned.
When you arrive at the clinic, clinical photographs are taken and a personalised treatment plan is created to determine the optimal direction of lift. The treatment area is then numbed using either topical and/or local anaesthetic to ensure comfort. While the thread lift itself usually takes around 30-60 minutes, you should allow up to two hours for your appointment. After the procedure, the entry points are dressed and follow-up care is arranged.

Ideal candidates for a thread lift are typically looking to improve mild to moderate sagging in areas such as the midface or along the jawline. While many patients fall between the ages of 40 and 65, suitability is based more on the degree of skin laxity rather than age alone.
Thread lifting can be a non-surgical option for those seeking facial rejuvenation without undergoing a surgical facelift, particularly for patients who are not suitable for surgery. Non-smokers tend to achieve better outcomes, as smoking can interfere with collagen production and healing.
Thread lifts may not be appropriate for everyone. Factors such as sensitivity to the dissolvable threads, active skin infections or acne in the treatment area, or significant skin laxity may limit the effectiveness of this procedure. A personalised consultation will help determine your suitability by reviewing your medical history and aesthetic goals.
-
The cost of the treatment will depend on several important factors. This includes the patient’s skin condition and the number and type of threads used. Other factors that can affect the cost include the fees of the practitioner and facility. In some cases, a thread lift can be performed in the same session as other procedures which will result in additional costs.

Dr Chinsee may recommend combining thread lifts with other procedures for better outcomes.
Treatment plans may include EmbraceRF, Morpheus8, Emface. or cosmetic medicine treatments.
