Morpheus8

With age, our skin slowly begins losing collagen and elastin, the building blocks that keep our skin looking plump, firm and healthy. As a result, we begin to develop fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin and poor skin texture. If you are looking to restore a more youthful complexion, Morpheus8 treatments at Inigo trigger collagen production to tone and tighten the skin.

What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is an RF microneedling device developed by InMode to remodel and contour the face and body. This advanced device delivers targeted radiofrequency to each layer of the skin to stimulate collagen production. By methodically treating each layer of the skin, Morpheus8 treatments don’t only provide a deep tightening but rejuvenate the skin's surface, with results unparalleled to any other non-surgical device on the market.

Treatment Areas

Morpheus8 can be used to treat the skin on almost any area of the face or body. In particular, treatments can address a number of common skin concerns, such as:

  • Sagging and loose skin of the face, neck and body
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Sun damage
  • Enlarged pores
  • Poor skin texture
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Stretch marks

Results

Following your Morpheus8 treatments, you can expect to notice an initial improvement in the texture of your skin within just a few days. However, collagen and elastin production takes time, meaning that it may take up to three months for your results to fully appear. Such results will continue to improve for up to a year.

While Morpheus8 results are long-lasting, they do not stop the natural ageing process. With time, your skin will begin to age again, at which point you may require additional maintenance treatments.

What To Expect

Prior to treatment, your dermal therapist will prepare the treatment area and apply a topical numbing cream to the skin. The Morpheus8 handpiece will be passed over the skin, allowing a series of insulated microneedles to deliver radiofrequency energy into the skin. Through the use of multiple depth settings, this process treats each layer of the skin, working to tighten the deeper layers and resurface the upper layers.

Morpheus8 treatments are usually well-tolerated by patients, and you should feel little discomfort during the procedure. Expect your treatment to take around 30 to 60 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the treatment area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a candidate for Morpheus8 treatments?

If you are concerned by skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles and sun damage or are simply looking to improve your skin's appearance without surgery, Morpheus8 treatments may be the ideal solution for you. Unlike other laser technologies, Morpheus8 is colour blind, meaning it can be used on all skin types. However, the best way to determine whether this treatment is right for you is to have a consultation at Inigo Cosmetic.

What sets Morpheus8 apart from other microneedling devices?

Unlike other microneedling devices on the market, Morpheus8 treatments can be adjusted to a deeper depth of 4mm. This allows radiofrequency energy to penetrate far deeper into the skin than any other device. As such, Morpheus8 treatments work to remodel subdermal fatty tissue for more impressive results.

How many treatments will I need?

While many patients experience impressive results after just one treatment, we usually recommend a course of three sessions, spaced monthly, for optimal results. To maintain this in the long term, we may suggest annual follow-up treatments.

What is the recovery like for this treatment?

After your Morpheus8 treatment, you can expect two to three days of downtime. Mild redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising are common side effects, however, this should fade within a few days. You may also notice some small dotted marks on the skin from the needles, which will crust and flake off in a day or two.

Following treatment, your skin will be more sensitive to the sun, so wearing an SPF 30+ or higher daily is essential. If desired, you will be able to apply makeup again two days post-treatment. Specific aftercare instructions will be given to you prior to treatment.
