Our Inigo MediFacials are performed by our experienced dermal therapists using a range of active cosmeceutical and medical grade products to develop a treatment plan customised to your specific concerns and skin requirements. All treatments include a thorough skin consultation, 3D imaging to determine skin health, and complimentary Healite LED Light Therapy treatment.

Results are noticeable after the first treatment and will continue to improve over time. It is recommend that regular treatments are performed monthly, however factors such as home care products, use of SPF, smoking, water intake, stress, or illness will affect results and the frequency of treatments required.

What To Expect

After a thorough skin consultation, active ingredients are applied to the skin. These products have varying levels of strengths and concentrations which are dependent on the areas of concerns and patient’s skin type. Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any risks or complications?
  • Discomfort, redness and swelling, itching or irritation, skin peeling or flaking – up to 14 days after procedure

  • Hyperpigmentation & acne breakouts

  • Hypopigmentation, infection, or scarring is very rare

  • Reaction to product and/ or local anaesthetic (if applicable) rarely occur but can include an immediate reaction of swelling and very rarely, life-threatening anaphylaxis

How do I prepare for my treatment?
  • Attend appointment with no makeup, lotions, or SPF

  • 2 weeks prior: avoid excess sun exposure

  • 1 week prior: avoid blood-thinning medication – aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil

  • 3 days prior: no exfoliation, waxing, or hair removal in the treatment area

  • 3 days prior: if prone to cold sores, take prophylactic medication

  • 5 days prior: no products containing AHA’s, Vitamin A products, Retin-A, scrubs, or enzymes

  • 2 days prior: avoid alcohol and stay hydrated

What should I do after my treatment?

Your skin may become very hot, red, and peel significantly depending on the skin condition and products applied.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise and heat (saunas, LED, hot showers) for 24 hours

  • Don’t scrub, exfoliate, or aggressively massage treatment area for 3 days

  • No products containing AHA’s, Vitamin A products, Retin-A, scrubs, or enzymes for 5 days

  • No peels, IPL, laser, facial treatments not prescribed by the clinic for 2 weeks

  • Don’t pick, scratch, or peel the skin

  • Eat a healthy diet and hydrate with 2 – 3L of water daily

  • Avoid excess sun exposure. Daily SPF is required

Who is unsuitable for treatment?
  • Hypersensitivities to product ingredients (including local anaesthetic)
  • Active skin issue in the treatment area, including cold sores, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, cancer
  • Active or recent viral or bacterial infection (coughs, colds, flu)
  • Allergies to product ingredients, including local anaesthetic
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding may be treated with caution
